The Grimm (Hunt) unit is something that I would also like to read more about. My dad used to read me some stories from the Brothers Grimm books and I loved them. It's so interesting to read the stories and then watching movies that are based off of the stories. I love seeing people be creative.
The Voyages of Sindbad unit also sounds very interesting. I have seen a movie about Sinbad but I'm still not that familiar with it. It would be nice to be able to learn more about Sindbad and his journeys. The description says that the stories are similar to Odysseus and I am very excited because I enjoyed the Odyssey.
I would also like to read the Robin Hood unit. I love the Disney movie and I love what Robin Hood's character stands for. It would be really cool to all of the stories about his adventures.

This sounds great, Heather! And the part of the Odyssey I selected for the class is the part that matches up with the Voyages of Sindbad: it is one of the great examples of how stories traveled around and got retold in the ancient world, much like how you will be sharing your own versions of stories on the Internet for this class!
ReplyDeleteAnd if you like Robin Hood, you might think about doing the Ramayana Unit in class... the hero, Rama, is one of the famous archers in the epic tradition of India! :-)
